Crosswinds Marsh Photo Shoot

Commenting on my own photos....love the geese flying in the upper left corner of the photo. Click to see photos on the viewer. Nice little sunset considering that there had been no sun all day.

Love the very placid water and sky and the reflection in the water is cool also. Some more skilled in composition might think that there is too much sky in this picture but I think it punctuates the emptiness of the scene.

Love this family going fishing. The eye is drawn to this little group of fishermen by the line of the boardwalk.

Love the reflection of the nesting box in the water. It shows you that shades of brown can be a spot of color in an otherwise colorless day.

Despite the very dark, overcast day, we went on our photo shoot at Crosswinds Marsh on Saturday. Jeff brought bread to attract the swans and I shot many swan pictures (more later on the swans). We had a great turn out...about 20 people. We planned on shooting sunset photos but since there was no sun it looked discouraging. I was leaving, walking to the parking lot when I saw some light pink and blue light across the marsh. So, I was lucky to get a few sunset photographs.

Missed out on the Owl Prowl at Oakwoods as both nights were totally booked. I was able to sign up for next week, however, and am really looking forward to that.

Can't wait for warm weather to shoot more photos in a more comfortable environment :-).

Soon I will be in South Carolina and then in the Caribbean. Can't wait to shoot those beautiful blue skies and blue ocean.
