I got up this morning, and to my dismay, saw that it had snowed overnight. There was a light coating on everything and the temperature was 32 degrees. It's the 20th of April, for heavens sake! I am so disgusted. When I went down to put the coffee on I looked out the window to see my first goldfinch at the thistle feeder. I had hung it on Wednesday and they are now competing with those darn sparrows for the thistle seed. After seeing this beautiful bird I decided to think of other things to cheer me up.
