Damselflies, Darners and Skimmers

 Blue Dasher

Learned a lot at the Lake Erie Metropark's dragonfly program. Thank you so much to Paul, the park's interpreter for all the information as well as the camera tips. I am going to start a collection  of photos and also try to identify some of these very interesting insects. Paul had live dragonflies in several stages of development as well as the reproductive information....the male is rather a crass character, holding the female around the neck.....yikes it always sucks being the woman.
I love the these beautiful creatures with their delicate wings. They remind me of Tinkerbell flitting around in the sunlight.
