Well, yesterday was trash day and again I had a full can of garbage to take out. I have given some thought to " A basket full of blessings" and started by making a list. As I added up daily things from the last week, I see that I have started to fill up the basket.....a trip to Lake Erie to see more summer wild flowers, a movie to have a laugh and escape for 2 hours, a great conversation with a friend and a wonderful rain storm are just a few of the things that hopefully made up for the things that I threw away. Sometimes, you have to look more closely at things to appreciate what you have. I realize that not everyday will be special but at least there may be a small thing to be appreciated.
