This a wildflower called Mullein. This year all the wildflowers are flourishing and these Mullein are a good example. I have never seen them so tall. The leaves of this plant are so soft that they are sometimes called Velvet Plant. Mullein is in the Verbascum family.
Their soft leaves are best known for their use as toilet paper!
