More Photos from Detroit Trip

 Houses in the Brush Park area...some looked lived in and in the process of restoration.....
 others are in pretty bad shape



The Castle or the GAR Building....I took this from the back seat of the car so not a good Picture.
This is the Romanesque style building that was built in 1899 for soldier and sailors of the Civil  War. A group was formed called the Grand Army of the Republic and the building was built as a meeting and event venue for their members. It was closed and boarded up in 1982 and although there were many plans for development they all fell through. Now, it has finally been restored with a tavern on the main floor and law offices above.
