Egrets

Two Great Egrets and a Snowy.....
The Great Egret, also called the Great White Heron, is common in Michigan and there is an Egret rookery at Kensington Metropark. The Snowy Egret is also called A Small White Heron. They are not found in Michigan but they are very common on the coast of South Carolina where these photos were taken.

Ready for take off......this Great Egret has a yellow beak and black legs.

The Snowy is much smaller and has a black beak and also black legs.

The Egrets are graceful looking most of the time but can also appear comical at times.
