White -breasted Nuthatch

There was a nuthatch in my backyard today. I have a feeder with safflower seeds but those stupid sparrows empty all the seeds on to the ground. This little nuthatch must have found some because he was taking the seeds and tucking them behind the bark in my birch tree.....back and forth, back and forth. I just wish that I could get rid of the sparrows........maybe I should put up a feeder just for them with some cheap seed and put it behind my garage. I hate spending any money on these pests though.
