Green Shed

Lake Erie Metropark
I have photographed this shed many times before. It used to be a beautiful, faded blue that stood out for it's great patina. This summer it was painted and I will admit that I like the green. I have always wondered what is stored inside.

I think that I am done with all these fall color photos especially now that the trees are virtually bare. It looks pretty empty out there. I will say that autumn colors were absolutely beautiful this year. Now, my yard is all cleared of leaves and even the streets have been swept clean....all neat and tidy and ready for this season's snow. It is going to be a long winter ahead of us.

Squirrel Stash

I cracked up when I saw that a squirrel stashed this Indian corn in my geranium pot. Apparently, he/she is getting ready for winter and someone is missing their decorative corn....lol

So imagine my surprise when I went to cut back my Hydrangea and found another cob of corn. This squirrel is taking no chances. After I was done, I put the cob back but I imagine someone will find it soon.
Now, I wonder where those darn bunnies are.....haven't seen them for awhile. The whole bunny family played havoc on my garden this summer......overnight a whole flower would be gone. One of my favorite plant was eaten down to the ground. Next year it will be all out war on these critters.

Speaking of geraniums........

While all the other flowers have given up the ghost, my geraniums are loving this weather and are filled with new buds. They are so healthy. The red geranium was growing in my front bed and I potted it up because it was loaded with flowers. They are on my back porch and I am really enjoying them.
Today I cut some sedum (Autumn Joy) flowers and hung them to dry in my garage. I'm hoping to use them to make an arrangement.

The Road Less Traveled

Kensington

The autumn leaves seem more spectacular this year.....so beautiful even in my neighborhood. I don't understand why people seem to want to immediately rake them. One leaf falls on their lawn and they are out with the blower. I even enjoy when a car goes by and stirs up all the leaves on the street.         We took some beautiful photos at Kensington Metropark. Everyone is going to be sick of my fall picture postings. Soon it will be all gray and gloom so I am really enjoying this unseasonably warm weather that we are having now.

 VOTE

Like your life depended on it!

I'm tallying how many of us have voted so far and I think we only have a few to go. Only two more days until the election. I actually feel sick with dread.

Let's wipe the toilet bowl with that man some call president
My neighbor, Patty, cleaning my toilet with the Trump brush that Mike sent me. Thanks Mike, we had a good laugh over it.

How does he get in these predicaments?

Amy's Trip to Michigan
Amy flew in from SC and stayed a week with me.  The first day we picked up Emma, had lunch and headed to Yates Cider Mill. Those donuts were warm and delicious! A great afternoon and so good to see Emma.

Picking up leaves for scrapbooking Grandma.

One evening Amy and I had dinner at Ford Garage. Fun and so good.

We spent some time driving up Jefferson to see how the construction of the new international bridge was coming along. Ended up in Detroit and than Mexican Town. Headed to my favorite Mexican restaurant Los Galantos.  After seeing these guys outside, we figured that we could eat as much as we wanted.

Had a lovely dinner with Sarah and Tim. Thank you guys.

Amy visited Grandpa Joe's grave to pay her respect

I loved having Amy here for a visit....really enjoyed her company. Thank you Amy, for all your help ....the gardening, laundry, installing a new shower head and getting that darn branch off of the garage roof.  Everything was so appreciated......love and hugs!

Happy Halloween

This is Sarah's ingenious idea to get the candy to the kids and following the Covid guidelines.

Here is John, the criminal, and Takeshi, the sushi roll, at work on Halloween.  Glad to see that someone dressed up.  A few years back I would post pictures of all the kids dressed up for Halloween. Those days are, unfortunately,  gone so it is good to see that someone wore a Halloween costume.
