Magnolia

Despite the weather, which was gloomy and cool, the plantation was lovely with all the spring flowers and trees in bloom.....Azaleas and Wisteria especially. It is really a very special place....just don't think about all the slaves that kept the whole place running...that's the disturbing part.
This was the the third time that we have been to the plantation and it has been spectacular each time.

On the farm...so disappointed that there no chicken this time

This Peacock was trying to impress but as you can see below the Peahen was not at all impressed or else she was just trying to act coy..lol

Flowers, flowers everywhere...reliving my trip over again...

Azaleas
One thing that I photographed enough of is flowers......every day. So beautiful and coming from a place where all I'd seen in the last 5 months was browns and grays to see all this color was a joy. Being in SC at the peak of spring bloom was fantastic.
 Camellias

 at the Palm Court
 Statuary every where....statues and flowers
 Ever lovely tulips
Even this fading tulip is a beauty

Foxglove and snapdragons......a popular combination this season

Anne's Garden

This is a secret garden....with walls and an iron gate. It is secluded and quiet except for the rambunctious Carolina Wrens singing in the trees. It is a lovely spot and even though people walk through they don't stay. I have more photos and will post them when I come across them.

Finally Back...

 to my favorite places......
Monday morning brought me to Huntington Beach State Park bright and early
Took my first walk on the beach....love

Brookgreen Gardens......would not be peek for another week but it was really beautiful nonetheless.
Dogwoods.....spectacular

These beautiful poppies were found in "Anne's Garden" where there is a lovely fountain and a lovely bench. More on this garden later.

Welcome back to me.....

After I arrive in Myrtle Beach and I'm greeted at the airport, we go to Waffle House.....it's tradition. Allison, Jacob and John bought me my favorite breakfast....yum!
Since I had to get up at 4:30 am, I needed a nap then, for supper.......
For Sunday supper we went to PF Changs and had our favorite lettuce wraps. I can't believe that I didn't take any food pictures.
Off, in John's Rogue, tomorrow to go to my favorite places.
