Please Snow
Just a little
After last winter's terrible weather, I didn't think that I would ever want to see snow again, however, I really want to get out and take snow photos. In fact, I am so desperate that I re-edited all these photos and put snow on them, ha!At least the sun is out and the temperatures are more "winter like". It was 19 when I woke up this morning. I am hoping to get out soon to take any pictures any where.....either at Kensington or Lake St. Clair...I hear that there are a pair of snowy owls up there.

Old Deserted Farm House
We came upon this old falling down farmhouse. It looked like it had been deserted for many years and probably was built in the 1800's. It just made me so sad to see it so unloved and empty. At one time this was someones home and farm. Children grew up here, the farmer worked the land and Mom perked the coffee for breakfast every morning. We didn't find any treasures but my son found an old 70's Glamour magazine in one of the out buildings. We had fun looking at that. I guess that time marches on. My house was built in 1931 and is still beautiful but what will the future bring....after I am dead and gone the neighborhood might become a slum and my house may fall down....I hope that someone finds the time capsule that we put in the porch columns.

Samples of the DIA
A difficult challenge:
It doesn't matter how many times that you go to the DIA, you always see something that you have never seen before. That goes for taking photographs as well. It could be any thing from paintings, sculpture, pottery, fine china, furniture...the list goes on.

These two ladies are looking at something........couldn't tell what.
This reminds me of my house

Gloomy Winter Walk
The only signs of life this morning at Oakwoods was 2 other walkers and
a raccoon that had gone before me
and the brown squirrel on the fence
and lastly a little nuthatch.
Shag bark Hickory
Summer picnics now just a memory
I remember the canoe launch from last summer
We haven't seen the sun in days.....it was predicted today that it would be sunny all day...wrong!
