I have been so busy decorating my house for fall....it looks beautiful! I love autumn. Can't wait for the leaves to start turning. I may get out this weekend looking for signs of autumn. 

I had a nice birthday lunch today with Barb and Mary Jo. Barb and my birthday is exactly one month apart so it gives us a reason to celebrate. Thank you Mary Jo for the beautiful peony photo. Waiting for a cool off so I can get out with my camara.

Belle Isle

 It makes me sad to think that soon the fountain will be turned off for the season. I love taking photos of it whenever I go in the summer. There is still the conservatory to enjoy.....a great place to go in the winter.

 I really enjoyed Hawkfest and especially fell in love with the Barn Owl. Ran into some folks from my Crack O' Dawn group as well as some photographer friends from our old advanced photography class. Beautiful day and a nice crowd.

Hello September

Sorry to be missing in action this week.....I've had out of town company. I had a very nice visit with my brother and sister-in-law. We went to Belle Isle as you can see and had some great meals out. My brother did a lot of work around my house which was greatly appreciated!
Now, I'm trying to get summer things put away. My son will be coming to help me out this weekend. Will also fit in Hawkfest tomorrow. Always look forward to this every year....run in to a lot of old friends and also get some great photos of raptors. The event is well put together with things to do for the whole family. Many pictures to follow.....still have zoo photos to post. Never ending fun at my house....lol.

I love chickens!

 It's apparent that ever since I was little, I have loved chickens. Here I am, a little tot, feeding my Grandparent's chickens.
