What a beautiful day! I spent a few hours at Lower Huron Metropark taking fall color photos. It was sunny and warm and there was hardly anyone there but me. I love when I can pull over to the side of the road to take a picture. I parked in front of this tree and saw two Bluebirds hopping around on the branches. Made my day! Afterwords, I had a lovely lunch with Barb and Mary Jo at Cracker Barrel. Just a great day.

Tuesday 

Belle Isle at its most beautiful!

It is unfortunate that we have had so few beautiful October days. Now, the month is almost over and I'm feeling sad that I only got out a few times with my camera. It was so pretty on the island. I like to take the two roads that transect the island north to south and that's where most of the color was. I got some pretty nice photos and can't wait to get them all edited.

 Those eyes.....they must have excellent night vision.

 ...................what strange looking characters. They weren't shy and came to the window to stare at us.

Run for your life!

 I was enjoying the flamingos at the Detroit zoo....watching them all stand around on one leg.

 Along came a young lady with a weed wacker edging along the fence line....Wow, the flamingos took off running.

 Also in this enclosure was a Wood stork and...

a few Roseate Spoonbills.
