I could never understand why the zoo doesn't have a better enclosure for these beautiful Giraffes. The chain link fence won't due....somehow the fence can be camouflaged. I love the little one.....born at our zoo.

Northern Flicker

I was sitting on my back porch this morning after doing some watering and filling up the birdbath. I was so thrilled to have a Northern Flicker stop by for a drink. Had my phone so I snapped a quick picture. Look at him compared to the Robin. He had a red heart on the back of his neck.....so beautiful.  All I get are robins and Sparrows who stop by for a drink or a bath..... this stunning bird made my day!

Tiger at the Zoo

 

Like the Polar Bear this Tiger was restless and seemed agitated....pacing back and forth finally (below) he paused to sharpen his claws. I would not want to be close to it that's for sure!
