The Meadow in June

After the sun burned off the mist, The Lake Erie Meadow was glittered with sunlight. There are Ox-eyed Daisies, Coreopsis, Black Eyed Susan, False Sunflowers, Sweet clover and Thin leaved Cone flowers and more, in bloom right now. But, as pictured above, the whole field is ready to burst into bloom with another variety of Cone flowers. It will be beautiful. Stop by to see the meadow. It is a great photo opportunity as well.
I spent almost an hour hanging out in the meadow area and was rewarded with 4 Indigo buntings and several Goldfinches.I was disappointed that there were no butterflies other than Cabbage Whites and Dragonflies. Will be there Saturday for Crack O' Dawn and can't wait to see if the meadow will be putting on the best show of the season!
