This morning (at the crack of dawn) we had a farewell party for our fearless leader, Gerry, who is retiring at the end of the month. We had a nice turnout of about 33 people and loads of great breakfast food! We found out that Pat and her husband Wayne, who has passed away and one other unremebered person were the 3 who showed up for the first Crack O' Dawn Club meeting in 1995.
Presentations
Eric presenting our framed, group photo
Pat (original founding member from 1995) presents our card with a million dollars
Gerry waving around the million dollar bill
Inga presents card with real money!
Ulanawa presents Gerry with a Shutterfly book full of happy memories
Gerry looks perplexed with something in the book....must be the picture of the dead coyote

Veronica presenting Gerry with a bag of nuts!
and after all that we still went for our usual one mile walk on the Cherry Island Trail
I personally want to thank Gerry for all the fun and education that he has given me this past year. Wish I would have joined years ago. He is a walking, talking, real person with information that is presented in an informative, witty and interesting way....who needs google when you have Gerry. Well, I guess we will need google because Gerry is leaving us. I hope that our group will continue as strong as ever with our new fearless leader.
Good luck and goodbye to you Gerry.
