I don't know if this is now called a Slate Gray Junco or a Dark eyed Junco but I do know that I love this little winter bird!

This is the bird blind....inside there is a sign saying close the windows to keep the raccoons out.

Winter at the Arboretum

 Winter at the Overland Park Arboretum is sure different than June when I was here last. Then, it was a riot of colors and scents. Hummingbirds were at the feeders and turtles on the lake. I remember seeing an Indigo Bunting across the water. Today there was no one around and I like that and it was still beautiful in a different way.

This a new piece of art that was not there in June. A sculpture of Monet painting his beautiful garden which he is facing. I will dig up my photos from the summer of the Monet garden and do a comparison

Happy Parade Hoilday

I am happy to say that I am all ready for the holidays. Took Emma and Liam out for a holiday breakfast, got both packages in the mail, cards are also mailed and most of all I am in the Christmas spirit.

Last weekend we had the big snow...this weekend rain...ugh!

Good news...I have officially "graduated" from cardiac rehab! Funny, they even gave me a certificate. Will continue with Yoga and the maintenance program.

Hoping everyone is in the spirit and ready for the holidays!

 Pictures taken at the warehouse come out so beautifully....I feel like a real professional. I guess using a tripod with long exposure time and all the primary colors are what make the difference. I did pretty well not getting the same pictures as the last time I was there. Have saved some Christmas photos for later  :-)
