Crosswinds Evening Breeze
Great Blue Heron
The sky was so beautiful when I was at Crosswind Marsh the other evening. Continually changing clouds and sun. I saw the two Bald Eagles across the marsh. they were so far away, I'm afraid the pictures are not too clear. They were calling to each other so I heard them before I saw them. Sunset Stroll
Birds on a wire...or on a branch! These are all juvenile purple martins plus two robins. They are getting ready to roast for the night. Note setting sun reflecting on them.
This is a dragonfly..I think. I never can tell dragon from a damsel. Click on it to enlarge. It has a prehistoric look to it. The wings are so intricate.
Now, I think this one is a damselfly. Love the color. We saw all these wonderful creatures on a Sunset Stroll at Lake Erie metropark led by our own walking encyclopedia, Gerry.Tuesday, August 2, 2011
The Allegany
I love this photo that my brother sent me. That is his kayak as he makes his way down the Allegany River. The picture was taken about 8am. This is somewhere south of Franklin, Pa. I love the mist....wish I could have been there.Monday, August 1, 2011
