Poor Alvin

 A woman passed on that this Red-tailed Hawk was in a tree eating a chipmunk. Would have loved to see the hawk catch it's prey. He was eating when the chipmunk fell to the ground. He had no problem finishing his lunch even though Emma and I were very close by.

 What's left of Alvin...poor little guy.

 He is beautiful!

Tree Climbing

 I call this the "elbow tree" and it begs to be climbed. It is at the very beginning of Wild Wing Trail.

Nature Walk at Kensington

 What a great walk we had on Sunday. Everyone enjoyed it....feeding the birds, seeing the Red-tailed Hawk tearing apart and eating a chipmunk, seeing the Sandhill Cranes and climbing trees.

Will post twice more to get in all the photos that I took..

Crack O' Dawn November 2013

 Dark and rainy this morning...so dark that I missed the park driveway and had to back track. This is exactly like last month's Crack O' Dawn. I could have used the same pictures and no one would be the wiser. The colors were still beautiful and the leaf strewn path both made for a lovely walk and there was that real smell of autumn in the air. We didn't see much but the walk was wonderful.

Hidden Lake Gardens

When we left Flat Rock it was very overcast but by the time we got to Hidden Lake Gardens the sun had come out and it was absolutely beautiful. We had a great photo shoot with dinner after in Monroe.

Will miss this week's shoot at Meijer's Gardens so that I can see my grand kids. Hope to take them for a nature walk at Kensington if the weather cooperates.
