It was absolutely beautiful out there this morning.......every little branch was coated with snow. I got some great photos! This was a Lower Huron Metropark. Many more to edit.

Winter Birds
We had our first snow today so I thought that I would post these photos that I shot last winter at Oakwoods Metropark. A lot of snow coming down but nothing is laying. Our temps dropped 20 degrees in a matter of days. Glad all my leaves are up before the snow fell.
I love the Tree Sparrow, above and the fluffy Downy Woodpecker below. Also, was so happy to see a Bluebird sticking around for the winter.

Backpacking the Allegheny Mountians
This is my brother on a recent backpacking trip, walking the Minister Creek Trail in the Allegheny National Forrest. I want to thank the person that took all of these pictures whose name is watermarked on each one.
I am so envious that I am not young or fit enough to do this. I know that I would love it. It is so beautiful there and certainly a photographers dream. To get away from all the stresses of the world we live in and just be with nature is something that must refresh the spirit.
It is amazing that these tress are growing on this rock, but look at the little fern growing there as well

This area was hit by a tornado last spring
Wow, what a view!

Save us all....
Maybe this little church in inner city Detroit can save us all from our violent world and mean spirited politicians.

More Old Cars
It was fun shooting all these old cars but I was thinking today (which is very windy) how inconvenient they must have been. Cranking the car to get it started, bad roads, no heater, open to the air (like the car above) and no garages or gas stations. Still, I guess it beat the horse and buggy. They were constantly making improvements like the car companies still do today.
Second floor
This car had a fancy hood ornament and also had an etched glass effect on the window.
This car is 101 years old....amazing!
Drivers must have had narrow feet to use these peddles.
If I ever go to the museum again, I am just going to shoot details.
