Snow Fall

I have a feeling that we are going to see very little of snow this winter.......two weeks ago was just a fluke.

The Bridge

I can't believe that we can't shake this fog. It is 12 noon and still very socked in out there.....3rd day in a row. What is going on?
This is one of two identical bridges in Elizabeth Park. A few years ago they rebuilt them but used the same iron railings, restored. This is a favorite place for wedding photos. Anyway, this bridge takes on a whole new look in the fog, lovely.

Northern Flicker

Haven't seen a Flicker for several years so I was pretty happy to come across one at Elizabeth Park yesterday. Of course, with all the fog and the fact he was way up in the tree made for a poor image. I love this Woodpecker....the black moustache and the heart shaped red on the back of the head plus the speckled breast....he is a beauty!

Lost Winter

Two weeks today, we had this wonderful snowfall. It was so beautiful.every branch and twig coated with snow. Someone actually asked if I used infrared and I responded "No, that is just Mother Nature"
So yesterday and this morning we had freezing fog but seeing the weather forecast, I see warmer temperatures and no snow in sight. After two harsh winter, I think we are catching a break this year or so it is predicted. Still, I love walking in the snow and taking photos. Will this be a winter that wasn't?

I guess that I loved this fence.

Mizzle

Don't know what was going on this morning....fog? drizzle? freezing mist? I like to call it mizzle. When I got up this morning and looked out the window I jumped to it and got out there bright and early, well, not bright exactly. Driving visibility was not good but I had great fun taking photos at Elizabeth Park in Trenton. Everything had a different perspective and a black and white look. Tons more to edit and post.

This picture was posted on facebook by our local news. This is all that was visible of Detroit this morning. I wonder who took the picture. I see the tallest tower of the RenCen in the background.
