Orchids

 

The Orchids in the tropical room were beautiful as they are every winter. A peaceful room to enjoy them despite the weather outside.

Teapot

 

 My grandmother, long gone now, used this teapot to water her plants. I came across it in my hutch and decided to do the same. It’s a pretty little pot, the lid broken long ago.

Fruit growing in the conservatory...sometimes in the winter there are bananas

Our Trip to Belle Isle

 

Ice floats on the Detroit River. This is on the west side of the island, the east side (the shipping lane) was free of ice that we could see. Soon the Great Lake freighters will be out. A bit hazy out when I took this.

Garden in front of the conservatory.....to the right of the Carillon is the new flower garden. I can't wait to see it in bloom....hope there are tulips in the Spring.
