Butterfly Weed

Good news.....we're going back to Belle Isle this week.....more flower photos! You'll be begging for mercy by the time I'm done with you...lol!

This is the vibrant Butterfly Weed....so pretty. I'm sure there are butterflies in the garden but I've never seen any or Hummingbirds either. Will keep a look out.

June Backyard Garden

My garden is looking so lovely right now. I have only a small little area and a lot of stuff is in pots. Anything in the ground I planted years ago when I was able to get down and dirty.....lol.

Yikes, I see weeds!

Shasta Daisy

I have been so impresses with my photos taken with my phone, if the lighting is just right they come out great. It was a sunny day when I took these but the sun was filtered by the smoke in the air so the sun wasn't harsh. The light just seemed to wrap around the flowers.

Shasta daisies with a galvanized tub of Superbells and a Sweet Caroline Sweet Potato plant in front

Copper vat with supertunia Jazzberry....I love the color!

Lemon Daylilies  and....my Dad's old watering can

Betony

I thought at first that this was Lavender. The garden has a site where you can see what is blooming right now, that's how I found out it's Betony. I hope that you don't get tired of all the flower posts but they are so beautiful that I want to share them with you. I highly recommend a visit to Oudolf Gardens on Belle Isle if you have a chance. Weekday morning are the best because the weekends get crazy on the island. In fact, several weekends they had to close the park....too many cars.

Oudolf Gardens Belle Isle

The beautiful gardens on Belle Isle.....so many wonderful flowers, even in the rain. The purple flowers are Veronica I think. In the background is The Nancy Brown Peace Carillon tower.
