Turkey Vulture

This is the closest that I have come to a buzzard. At first it was on the ground then flew into the tree. I always

kid my daughter because they circle her sub-division...a bad omen I tell her.

I have been disappointed that I have not been able to get a few really good bird pictures...especially shore birds. Yesterday, at Brookgreen, I saw a nuthatch, downy and several blue birds but none would stop and pose for me ;-)

I had to add these turtles photos....they are always in this one particular pool of water. I didn't see any so I called for them and about six came running (swimming) over. Funny!

I never saw two people move so fast .....both in bed and heard the ice cream truck, jumped up with money in hand and ran out in time to catch the truck. I was cracking up....didn't know my grand kids could move that fast!

 There are so many beautiful statuary at Brookgreen and all are placed in a perfect setting. Everywhere that you look is a picture waiting to be taken.

Really enjoying my visit here.....have been out almost every day and when I'm not we are out shopping or eating out. They have a fabulous mall..."Coastal Grand". Still have to hit my favorite bird shop as well as the Hammock Shop at Pawley's Island.
