Crack O' Dawn August

Well, we found out today that it will take 3 interpreters to fill Gerry's shoes when it comes to leading our Saturday morning group.....or maybe 3 to take the pressure off of them when it comes to leading a diverse and fun group such as ours :-)  Kevin (pictured below) did the group today and we saw a lot. Whether it was his doing or not, I don't know but we had a great walk. Our group was small and a lot of our core group didn't come.....only 7 walkers. Kevin did a great job and we appreciated his sense of humor and patience. Now, who will it be in September?
We are all in it for different reasons, I suspect. Some love nature, others want the exercise, or taking pictures, some come to socialize and all of us love being outside. I can't say it often enough....the group is so friendly and welcoming...no cliques here. Come and join us on the first Saturday of each month...bright and early at 7am.

 Isn't nature wonderful?
 Lotus

The lotus pond is at it's very best right now. I urge you to try to get out to Lake Erie Metropark and walk the Cherry Island Nature trail until you come to the pond. There, you will find the lotus in full bloom on both sides of the trail. Absolutely wonderful!
