The conservatory on Belle Isle is small as conservatories go but it is so beautiful, well kept, not crowded and free. I marvel at the people that quickly walk through and don't stop to really look at all the wonderful exotic plants. I especially love it in the winter when there is snow on the ground and all the orchids are in bloom. In the main room there are many seasonal plantings....now planted with Chrysanthemums. This time I reminded myself to look up!
