My table top projects from last year. I'm so busy making scrapbooks and journals that I don't know if I will get to table top this year. Have to find something to shoot. Ha! Maybe veggies!

2 Bald Eagle Sitting in a Tree...
We had such a nice day Thursday going first to Pewabic Pottery and then on to Belle Isle. the highlight of the day was seeing these two Bald Eagles. Of course, my puny lens couldn't reach far enough to get a nice close up but I was so happy to see them at all.
More pictures of Pewabic to come.

Welcome All Birds
This is a bird blind at Overland Park Arboretum. Sign on the door says "keep door closed to keep out critters".......that same day I say an opossum hanging around outside. Lots of bird feeders and a great view to take photos.

Favorite Things
I have been looking through old photos and thought that I would repost a few. I like to do a table top shoot at home during the winter months...this was 6 years ago. Now, I'm running out of things to photograph. The kitchen items shown here are from some of my collectibles that I gathered from antique or junk stores, ebay and some have been passed down to me from my Mom. I love all my Pyrex bowls. The two wooden spoons are one each from my grandmothers. No fancy family heirlooms from my ancestors. Lol
Note the pans on the left. Those were my Mom's and she used them to bake her famous (in our family anyway) kolache. I've never used them but can't give them up either. My son say the kolache aroma lingers on.
Behind this grouping is my Mom's pastry board....another treasure. Also very old salt and pepper shakers with original lids. I have a whole collection of these that are in excellent condition. My favorite are the little Dutch boy and girl and the sailboat....classics.
Another collection is yellow tea pots (pitchers, creamers etc.) This one in particular is Fiesta ware (new) but I have many other old yellow pots. I was always on the lookout for yellow and even found a nice pitcher at Cracker Barrel. These are all on top of my kitchen cabinets and every year I take all down and wash them....a real pain for sure.
I am going to look around for more things to shoot because I can see right now that shooting outside is going to be few and far between. It is suppose to snow this weekend so I hope to get out to the parks for snow pictures....problem...temps in the teens!

This dreamy photo is from a few years back....no snow here at this time. My son lives in Kansas and the picture below is from this afternoon......I'm so jealous!

Winter
Ain't no winter here...no snow just the blahs. No need to go out and shoot this grayness. Global warming at it's finest. I'll just stay inside and scrapbook (my new hobby)

Missing the Village
Oh, this gloomy weather....so tired that I want to move to South Carolina. I am really missing the Village....my little town. Mostly, I miss the flowers, the sunshine, the friendly people and just strolling around town. A long time to wait for it to reopen. :-(
Cotswold cottage gardens, my favorite.

Back to business....
The last of holiday photos....you can see my reflection...ha! I need to get back to posting and taking new photos. Would love some snow to take photos...not this gray, gloomy and rainy weather. I may resort to resurrecting some old photos as I sort and download to an external drive. The older the pictures the poorer my skills but I may post anyway.
Happy New Year to you all!
