A Drive North on Jefferson

We took a drive up Jefferson planning to make our way to see the construction of the new bridge. We started in Ecorse....above is the bridge over the Rouge River. We saw a barge go under the bridge pushed by a tug. Hard working bridge.
This is all we could see of the Gordy Howe bridge.....just some pylons and huge cranes.
We passed by the dock and saw the Federal Mackinac moored there

After Historic Fort Wayne (which is becoming more and more of a ruin) we joined Fort St. This is the old train station that is being restored by Ford Motor Company. The railroad trestle is in ruins. A Lot of work yet to be done.
Fort Street into Detroit.....construction everywhere....never ends

We ended our tour in Mexican Town for lunch. After seeing these guys we decided we could eat all that we wanted. An enjoyable few hours out and about!
