I'm Back!

Well, I'm back after a week of being in bed with bronchitis. We have had our first snow as I had wished for. Finally starting to feel a little better but I have really been set back with all my holiday chores (and believe me, they have become chores).  Spent a lot of time watching  Youtube ...such things as instructions on oil painting and crafts such as scrapbooking. This is funny since I don't do any of this. Two days of watching non-stop making cards out of old, repurposed Christmas cards. They were pretty tacky looking by the way.
Wish That I could get out with my camera and shoot some snow pictures but it is way to cold. I am enjoying the wind rattling the windows and the snow scenes in my backyard.

Busy...

working on my family calendar......so much fun but unfortunately the price goes up every year so even with a coupon I paid $30 a calendar...ugh!  Even a desk calendar was $20.  I used to give them to everyone now I'm down to 3. Anyway that is my grandson Mikey, gaming, so a typical pose for him.
Beautiful sunny day today but cold. All the neighbors are out working in the yard....last yard waste pick up tomorrow. My guy, Bill, cleaned up my front yard as that Oak tree has finally dropped all it's leaves.
Got my tree and most of my decorations up, but it's a mess down there. Hope to finish up tomorrow. Thanks, to my son, Tim, who came down and helped me drag all those decorations up from the basement.
I think when January comes I am going to lay back and not do a damn thing. My back hurts, my throat is sore again and I am just plain pooped out. Maybe I will get snowed in!!!!
Have lots of editing to do but no time right now.
Over and out........

DIA

Spent a few hours at the DIA with Barb and Mary Jo. We enjoyed seeing all the really ancient art from the Medieval period....mostly religious. There was a handwritten Bible that was 600 years old....amazing. The writing was so small and in Latin as well. Of course, I had to check out my knights in shining armour. Only half are on display, the rest still being restored. The only downside of our visit was  the kids....the place was packed and I mean packed, with noisy kids. Went to our favorite restaurant in Mexicantown....yum!
