It's not too often that you see a barn that is not red. Red was choosen for barns because of the ferrous oxide in the paint that prevented mildew and fungus. Love this green/blue color on this barn.....

This barn, not on the tour, came complete with cows!....barn #4 on the historic barn tour.
Here come the ladies. I thought that they came running towards us when they saw our cameras. They all want to be a California cow ;-)
Ulanawa and I had a great photo shoot today! I took about 300 pictures and have to go through them all yet, so here are just a few to start.
We started the Washtenaw County Historic Barn tour and saw 3 barns on their list but certainly got distracted along the way. Barnes everywhere! And to add to all the photo opportunities, it was an absolutely gorgeous day.
We stopped in the small town of Manchester (population about 2,000) for lunch and I fell in love with the town.Quite a few places to choose from to eat and we lucked out with a coffee shop/ restaurant in an old bar which looked well supported by the locals. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Manchester,_Michigan
Was a great day! Can't wait to see the rest of your photos. Your color select one turned out great!!! I haven't gone through all my pics yet...took nearly 250. LOL!!
