When I was at Greenfield Village a few weeks ago, I took the train to the other end of the village and worked my way back on foot. After a few hours and after stopping for lunch, I was getting tired out. I saw a sign for the Omnibus pickup....or bus stop and there were people waiting there. I found out that the omnibus was headed up front....exactly where I wanted to go. A fun ride, a little slow ride but it was fun and saved me the walk. I'm sure that folks thought the same back in the day.
