All these beautiful, but colorless snow pictures are making me yearn for some real color. Everything is monochromatic out there. As soon as I get my camera back and the sun shines, I am headed to The Belle Isle Conservatory to take some photos of flowers.
Last summer, I was coming off the trail, heading to the Nature Center at Kensington when I spotted this beautiful monarch butterfly on a Turk's Cap Lily. It was the only flower sitting in the middle of a meadow......I couldn't believe my luck on getting this beautiful photo. As I walked by the spot a few weeks ago, I remembered that flower...July 8th. I'm going to search for it this summer.
