All summer I faithfully tended my Hummingbird feeder, changing the liquid and keeping it clean....no hummers in sight. Finally I got tired of it all, took the feeder down and stored it in the garage. So this evening, I look out of my back door and there was a hummingbird sitting on my cable line. He then proceeded to my nearby hanging basket to get some nectar.........a red petunia hanging basket. Guess these guys like the real thing. Next year I plan on planting red petunias all over the place.
