When I got up this morning I saw this little goldfinch on my birdbath. He looked like he had no head. I grabbed my camera and started shooting, thinking for sure he would fly off. He let me get close enough to touch him, then finally lifted his head and flew off. He landed on a bush just a few yards away. He looks like a little baby finch but where is mom? They usually look after them if they seem in trouble. It's a mystery. I went out a few hours later and he was gone......nowhere in sight. I hope he is OK.
