Last year we visited the Magnolia Plantation in Charleston and took a tram ride through the swamp and lake area. I was thrilled to see the Egret rookery, Anhingas and Cormorants. This year we toured the inside of the house and it was very interesting...not as opulent as I though it would be. The gift shop is the best though :-).
The gardens are beautiful and that's what everyone comes for, especially in April when all the Azaleas are in bloom....just beautiful.
